Our online store is the simplest and most convenient way for most of our customers to order. It is secure and provides you with an email confirmation for your records. At Allen Creek Farm we feel strongly that direct communication allows for better service, and want you to know that you are dealing with real people who care about providing you with top quality products. If you have any questions about ordering, or are unsure of how to place an online order, we encourage you to call or email.


Our shopping cart service is provided by Authorize.net using their 128-bit encrypted, secure servers and verified via a valid SSL Certificate, guaranteeing the highest degree of consumer security.  Your information will be stored temporarily on those secure servers until we collect it at the end of the day, at which time it will be deleted.  For your safety we do not retain any credit card information on our computers.


Your privacy is very important to us and we do not treat this issue lightly.  Our policy is simple.  We do not capture any personal information on this website and do not provide your information to others. Transactions take place on the secure server site of our shopping cart service.


If there is a problem with your order please let us know immediately and we’ll make it right.


We ship fresh chestnuts within the US only, and the rest of our products anywhere in the U.S. and its territories, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia. For US orders we provide USPS Priority Mail services that ensure your order is delivered to you in 2 – 3 business days.


Chestnuts are perishable and must be kept refrigerated.  They will withstand 3 days in transit under normal conditions.  Do not plan on shipping fresh nuts after you receive them.  Exposure to excessive heat or freezing temperatures can pose problems and you may need to arrange for someone to accept your delivery in these cases.

Fresh chestnuts are shipped Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to assure that they arrive fresh. To ensure that your order of fresh chestnuts is not sitting at the post office waiting to be transported, orders placed after 12 pm PST will be shipped on the next shipping day. If you request a specific shipping day that falls outside of our Monday-Wednesday schedule, we will do our best to contact you ahead of time, and your chestnuts will be mailed on the closest available day in our shipping schedule (i.e. if a customer requests their order to be mailed out on Thursday, it will be shipped on Wednesday). Other chestnut products can be shipped Monday through Friday.

The reliability of USPS Priority Mail allows us to use it year-round.  Even shipments going out the week of Christmas will be at their destination within 2-3 days.


Customers are responsible for providing correct addresses.  Shipments returned to us because of insufficient address, incorrect street address, incorrect zip code, lack of a mail box, etc., are the responsibility of the customer and Allen Creek Farm will not issue refunds.  We assume responsibility for our errors and will replace the product or refund the charges in these cases.


We cannot be responsible for shipping delays due to weather conditions and assume no responsibility for orders left in your mail box during high temperatures or freezing conditions.


You pay only the commercial post office charges for shipping.  We do not up-charge for packaging materials or handling.  We use recycled materials for packing whenever possible.  For shipments NOT using a USPS Flat Rate box or Regional Rate box the shipping charge will be based on the total weight of the box including packaging materials.

We ship fresh nuts anywhere in the U.S. and its territories.  Other chestnut products can also be shipped to Canada, Europe and Australia.  You can get an estimate of your shipping costs at the USPS website or call us for information.

If there are problems with your order please notify us within 24 hours of receipt and we will gladly exchange, give you credit or refund your purchase less shipping charges. Return the items within 2 business days of receipt or email photos if appropriate. You are responsible for return shipping charges.
